Abstract
An ensemble of a sequentially arranged Wien linear velocity filter (WLF) and an energy analyzer with a retarding potential (retarding field analyzer, RFA) allowed measuring the ion spectra of a multicomponent plasma flow by energy, mass, and charge. The ideas and test results of two versions of the analyzer—WLF–RFA and RFA–WLF—are described.
