Interaction of Humic Acids with Microelements/Radionuclides in Sorption Systems

  • Published:
Radiochemistry Aims and scope

Abstract

Modern state of research in the field of physical chemistry of the complexation of humic acids with cations, including radio nuclides, in aqueous solutions is considered. Quantitative data characterizing the stability of humate complexes, theoretical approaches to their determination, and problems encountered in describing the reactivity of humate complexes are analyzed with consideration for the objective complexity of the chemical nature of humic acids as one of the main classes of natural humic substances.
