Abstract

Though watermarking got attention in the past decade, its robustness and security remain as a challenge to the researchers. Here, one new technique has been proposed to counter these problems using Arnold 4D cat map in discrete wavelet domain. The color watermark is decomposed into the RGB planes before the encryption process. Similarly, the cover image is decomposed to the RGB planes. Initially, the watermark planes are encrypted using Arnold 4D map followed by embedment in the wavelet coefficients of the respective cover image planes. The evaluation parameters, such as NPCR, PSNR and NC show a better performance of this proposed algorithm.
