Abstract
In this paper, we consider the propagation and multiple reflection of a plane shock wave inside a channel with closed ends, one of which is protected by a screen of granular, easily destructible material. The wave propagated along the shock tube. When reflected from the end, it destroyed the protective shield and then was repeatedly reflected from both closed ends of the shock tube. The dependence of the pressure decrease at the front of the reflected shock wave on the protective layer thickness and the gap between the protective screen and the closed end of the shock tube is established.
