Investigation of Different Compression Apparatus Usage Effects in Calibration Process of Strain Cylinders

Abstract

In this article, in calibration process of strain cylinder, which is performed according to ISO 376 standard, effect of loading apparatus with different dimensions on measurement result has been investigated. In addition, relative repeatability error of calibration on measurement results, temperature fluctuation, accuracy error of measurements, creep error, as well as the stability and metrological characteristics of indicator have been examined. As a result, it has been determined that use of loading pads with different diameters has significantly affected metrological performance of strain cylinder.
