Influence of Surface Structure of Sintered Compositions with Copper–Graphite Particles on Their Tribotechnical Properties

Abstract—The tribotechnical properties of composite materials developed by powder metallurgy methods are studied. Friction tests was carried out in a dry environment on a vertical MMW-1 tribometer by the pin-on-disk mechanism. An Amscope optical microscope was used to analyze the wear surfaces. The experimental results showed that the use of Cu–C (copper–graphite) ~ 10 wt % improves the frictional properties of the composites.
