  • Published:
Kew Bulletin Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The taxonomic identity of Stachytarpheta confertifolia Moldenke, S. chapadensis Moldenke and S. confertifolia var. puberulenta Moldenke is revised. The protologues, herbarium collections and literature were thoroughly examined, and we re-establish S. chapadensis and consider S. confertifolia var. puberulenta as a new synonym of S. chapadensis. We provide updated descriptions of the species, distribution maps and information about habitat and conservation status.
