Abstract

Three new species of the Onthophagus chevrolati species group are described from Mexico: O. civitasorum Moctezuma and Halffter, sp. n. (Durango); O. neofuscus Moctezuma and Halffter, sp. n. (Jalisco); and O. inecolorum Moctezuma and Halffter, sp. n. (Puebla). The dorsal habitus and genital structures of the new species are figured. The aedeagus and endophallite copulatrix of the holotype of O. pseudofuscus are dissected and figured by the very first time. The identification keys and distribution maps for the O. aureofuscus and O. fuscus species complexes are updated.
