The original version of this article unfortunately contained some errors.

MYBx1 was incorrectly described to interact with AN11 in the original version of the article. The authors found MYBx1 has no interaction with AN11, which was shown in Supplemental Figure S3 of the original version of the article. The authors would like to make the following corrections to the article.

In the Abstract, Sentence 5 should read:

“A yeast two-hybrid assay analysis indicated that MYBx1 can also participate in the MBW complex by interacting with the transcription factor ANTHOCYANIN (AN) 1.”

In the Results, Subheading ‘MYBx1 represses anthocyanin synthesis by interacting with the MBW complex’, Paragraph 1, Sentences 3–4 should read:

“A summary of the interactions is shown in Supplemental Fig. S3. MYBx1 has a strong affinity for AN1 and JAF13, but no affinity with AN11 and the known R2R3-MYB members (only AN2 is shown here).”

In the Discussion, Paragraph 3, Sentences 4–5 should read:

“The interaction of MYBx1 with the MBW complex member AN1 confirms this assertion. Because AN1 shared interaction members of R2R3-MYB, a positive regulator of anthocyanin synthesis, the repression of anthocyanin biosynthesis caused by MYBx1 could result from MYBx1 competing with R2R3-MYB to bind the MBW complex, which is consistent with the findings in Arabidopsis (Wada et al. 1997; Zhu et al. 2009).”

In the Discussion, Paragraph 3, Sentence 10 should read:

“Thus, MYBx1 could compete with PHZ in AN1 binding, thereby disrupting the PHZ–AN1–AN11 complex.”
