Monardoside (apigenin 5-O-rutinoside), which was a new natural compound, isorhoifolin (apigenin 7-O-rutinoside), linarin (acacetin 7-O-rutinoside), and didymin (isosacuranetin 7-O-rutinoside) were isolated and characterized from the herb of Monarda fistulosa L. using PMR, 13C NMR, and UV spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and chemical transformations.
