Abstract

Optical characteristics of nitrate and nitrite salts and their aqueous solutions are studied to demonstrate the application of direct spectrophotometric methods for determination of different forms of nitrogen salts in water. Examples of application of the method for determination of nitrate ion in samples of natural and drinking water from wells are given.
