Zusammenfassung
Die Kenntnis über Blockchains gehört heute üblicherweise zum Allgemeinwissen von Informatikern. Wie es bei Allgemeinwissen aber oft passiert, ist es selten reflektiert, teilweise von Wünschen und Vorurteilen geprägt und oft nicht noch einmal recherchiert. Warum auch? Man liest und hört doch genug, sodass es doch eigentlich stimmen muss. Dieser Einführungsartikel zum Themenheft ,,Blockchain-Technologien“ soll dazu dienen, das Allgemeinwissen etwas zu strukturieren, gegebenenfalls etwas anzureichern und vielleicht sogar mit Vorurteilen aufzuräumen.
