Abstract
Erythrophleum fordii is an economically important evergreen species. Due to its multipurpose values, it is currently heavily exploited and endangered. To better understand the evolutionary adaptations of E. fordii for germplasm resource protection, ninety polymorphic functional single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) loci were characterized. The observed and expected heterozygosities ranged from 0.129 to 0.594 and 0.123 to 0.508, respectively. These function-related SNP markers will provide genetic adaptation information upon which strategies for effective conservation and management could be based.
