En muchas ocasiones es difícil distinguir el tratamiento anticipado/empírico del tratamiento dirigido; por ello revisaremos en este apartado las estrategias de tratamiento antifúngico dirigido. Merece la pena enfatizar que el inicio precoz del tratamiento antifúngico es una de las variables que más influye en el éxito de este, por lo que algunas de las afirmaciones propuestas en este artículo pueden hacerse extensivas al tratamiento anticipado o empírico2, 29, 42, 45.
