Strongly Intensive Fluctuations between Multiplicity and Total Transverse Momentum in Relativistic p + p and p + Pb Collisions in the Multipomeron Exchange Approach Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 E. V. Andronov, V. N. Kovalenko
Abstract Strongly intensive quantities for multiplicity and total transverse momentum are calculated using the multipomeron exchange approach for pp collisions in the range of SPS to LHC energies. The model allows for the interaction between quark–gluon strings, the role of which grows along with the energy of collisions. This approach is generalized to the case of pPb collisions.

Studying the Cluster Structure of the 11 B Nucleus Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 M. A. Zhusupov, R. S. Kabatayeva, A. S. Kopenbayeva
Abstract Excitation spectra of the 11В nucleus in the lithium reaction of deuteron and α-particle cluster transfer are calculated by summing corresponding spectroscopic S-factors in the multiparticle shell model. It is shown that the difference between the excitation spectra of the 11В nucleus in lithium reactions of α-cluster transfer on the 7Li nucleus and the reaction of 7Li(α, γ)11B radiative capture

Automated Systems for Real-Time Registration of Neutron Fluence with Energies Higher Than 0.1 MeV for Radiation Resistance Testing Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 K. A. Beloshitskiy, A. S. Koshelev, M. V. Mochkaev, M. A. Ovchinnikov, G. N. Pikulina, I. M. Piskorskij, N. V. Raspopov, V. A. Yukhnevich
Abstract The operating principle of two automated systems for real-time registration of the fluence of neutrons with energies higher than 0.1 MeV is considered. The first system is based on recording the neutron flux density using fission chambers with threshold radiators. The second is based on using silicon transistors as detectors and allowing for the dependence of their current amplification factor

Nuclear Modification Factors of φ Mesons Produced in Cu + Au and U + U Collisions at $$\sqrt {{{s}_{{NN}}}} $$ = 200 and 192 GeV, Respectively Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 A. Ya. Berdnikov, Ya. A. Berdnikov, D. O. Kotov, M. M. Larionova, Iu. M. Mitrankov
Abstract Nuclear modification factors of φ mesons produced in Cu + Au and U + U collisions at cms energies of \(\sqrt {{{s}_{{NN}}}} \) = 200 and 192 GeV, respectively, are studied using data from the PHENIX experiment. The nuclear modification factors of φ mesons produced in U + U and Cu + Au collisions are compared to results obtained in Au + Au and Cu + Cu systems, and to those of the π0, η, KS

Generation of Electroweak Interaction by Analogs of Dirac Gamma Matrices Constructed from Operators of the Creation and Annihilation of Spinors Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 V. V. Monakhov
Abstract Analogs of Dirac matrices are constructed from the creation and annihilation operators of spinors. They generate a chiral-symmetric version of electroweak fields and other fields. It is shown that the operator considered in the theory of second quantization to be the one of electric charge is a part of the hypercharge operator of the Pati–Salam theory.

Production of Light Neutral Mesons in Ultrarelativistic Cu + Au and U + U Collisions in the Region of Mean Velocities Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 A. Berdnikov, Y. Berdnikov, S. Zharko, D. Kotov, P. Radzevich
Abstract Results are presented from measuring nuclear modification factors RAA of the π0, η, KS, and ω mesons produced in systems of Cu + Au and U + U collisions at cms energies of \(\sqrt {{{s}_{{NN}}}} \) = 200 and 192 GeV, respectively, in the PHENIX experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The RAA values are found not to depend on the type of neutral meson and to vary in the ~0

Investigating the ( n , γ f ) Reaction as a Way of Studying the Properties of Transitions between Highly Excited States in Heavy Nuclei Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 O. A. Shcherbakov, A. S. Vorobyev, A. M. Gagarski, L. A. Vaishnene
Abstract The history and current status of investigations of the unique two-step (n, γf) reaction observed in heavy nuclei under the influence of neutrons are discussed using the example of measurements made on the neutron time-of-flight spectrometer GNEIS in Gatchina. It is shown what is already known and what kind of information can be derived from experiments to study the (n, γf) reaction on resonance

Calculating the Neutron Radiation in the Spent Nuclear Fuel of VVER-1200 Reactors Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 A. M. Petrovskiy, T. N. Korbut, E. A. Rudak, M. O. Kravchenko
Abstract Results are presented from calculating the neutron radiation of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) from stationary campaigns of VVER-1000 and VVER-1200 reactors due to spontaneous fission and (α, n) reactions. An analytical dependence is obtained for the average number of neutrons produced in spent nuclear fuel per α-particle on the particle’s energy. The neutron radiation of VVER-1200 spent nuclear

Evaluated Integral Cross Sections of the 3 He( 3 He,2 p ) 4 He Reaction Obtained with Regard to Electron Screening Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 S. M. Taova, L. N. Generalov, V. A. Zherebtsov
Abstract Results are presented from an analysis of experimental data on the 3He(3He,2p)4He reaction, obtained with regard to electron screening. Data on the reaction proceeding in the gas environment are analyzed. The algorithm describing the experimental data in the low energy range presented earlier by the authors has been improved. The electron screening potential of 356 eV is obtained. Using the

Polynomial Description of the Masses of Odd Deformed Nuclei Bull. Russ. Acad. Sci. Phys. Pub Date : 2020-11-02 A. K. Vlasnikov, A. I. Zippa, V. M. Mikhajlov
Abstract A description is considered of the masses of odd deformed atomic nuclei using fourth order polynomials for an odd nucleus’s deviations of N and Z. It is shown that moving from the second to the fourth order does not bring the parameters obtained for different groups of even–even nuclei closer to one another, and the higher order parameters calculated in this manner do not match satisfactorily
