Direct Amination of Isohexides via Borrowing Hydrogen Methodology: Regio‐ and Stereoselective Issues

Isohexides, chiral bio‐based diols, were directly functionalized to provide novel amines using the borrowing hydrogen methodology. The efficient regio‐ and diastereo‐controlled synthesis of chiral mono‐ and di‐amines was thus achieved using cooperative catalysis between an iridium complex and a Brønsted acid.
