Topography-guided laser vision correction regularizes the corneal surface, directly treating anterior corneal higher-order aberrations (HOAs).1–3 The Alcon platform for topography-guided treatments includes the WaveLight Topolyzer VARIO topographer to image the cornea and the Contoura software (Alcon Laboratories, Inc., Fort Worth, TX), which generates an ablation map that combines both lower and higher-order aberration ablation profiles into one treatment, with ablation depth data.
