Four undescribed monoterpenoid indole alkaloids, melodinines X₁‒X₄ (1‒4), together with fourteen known ones, have been isolated from the fruits of Melodinus henryi. Their structures with absolute configurations were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods and ECD calculations. Compound 1 shows a significant cytotoxicity to HL-60 cancer cell line with an IC₅₀ value of 0.8 μM.
