To the Editor We read with great interest the Research Letter by Anderson et al¹ investigating associations between marijuana laws and teen marijuana use. With many states considering passage of recreational marijuana laws (RML), it is important to understand the potential effects of these laws for adolescents. To evaluate this, Anderson et al¹ analyzed adolescent marijuana use in states where RMLs have been passed and reported an 8% decrease in odds of teen marijuana use following passage of RMLs. However, we are concerned that a potential flaw in their methods may compromise the validity of these results.
