As highlighted recently in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, the US Government intends to ban all flavoured electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), so far pioneered by the states of New York and Michigan. In the other hemisphere, on the production, sale, and import of all e-cigarettes, to stem the youth “epidemic” and consequent “health risks”. We wonder if the repercussions of these absolute legislative controls were considered beforehand and feel that the USA might be taking the correct approach.
