High-performance metal-organic complexes-based anode materials for lithium-ion battery were obtained by introducing a hydrogen bond framework. Detailed analysis with DFT calculation revealed the lithium storage mechanism in terms of the active sites of metal-complexes and the effect of metal center on lithium storage performance.
