A lipid nanoparticles-mediated, enzyme-triggered signal amplification strategy was proposed for precise miRNA imaging both in vitro and in vivo. The combination of switchable catalytic hairpin assembly with controlled in vivo delivery enables tumor-specific signal amplification with reduced off-tumor signal.
