Mn2+-doped CsCdCl3 perovskite luminescent crystals with tunable afterglow time, high efficiency and stability were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. CsCdCl3 : Mn2+ shows the longest afterglow time of 1480 s and the highest PLQY of 91.4 %. CsCdCl3 : Mn2+ maintained over 90 % of the PL intensity at 423 K, and the PL remains about 80 % after soaking in water for 55 days.
