The article entitled “The role of climate in past forest loss in an ecologically important region of South Asia” which published in Global Change Biology (Volume 28, Issue 12, pages 3883–3901) has since been updated.

The authors have corrected references to India in the title and throughout the article so that the work does not depict any national boundaries in disputed territories, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. References to India have been changed to refer to study areas or the area of research analysed in the paper.
