Phase Equilibria in the Eu–Mn–O System

Abstract

Phase equilibria in the Eu–Mn–O system were studied by X-ray powder diffraction in samples mechanically preactivated and prepared under an oxygen pressure \({{P}_{{{{{\text{O}}}_{{\text{2}}}}}}}\) of 10–5–102 kPa and in those prepared under a reductive atmosphere at a partial hydrogen pressure \({{P}_{{{{{\text{H}}}_{{\text{2}}}}}}}\) of about 5 kPa. \({{P}_{{{{{\text{O}}}_{{\text{2}}}}}}}\)–T and x–y projections of the P–T–x–y diagram of the Eu–Mn–O system and selected xy isotherms of the Eu2O3–MnO–MnO2 quasiternary system were plotted.
