Simulation of the Process of the Hydrocycloning of Particles of “Light” Fractions on the Filtering Surface of a Drain Pipe

Abstract

The process of the separation of inhomogeneous systems is considered for the case in which the density of particles of the dispersed phase is less than the density of the dispersion medium. It is proposed to carry out the process in a hydrocyclone with a drain-pipe filtering surface under vibration, which ensures vibroliquefaction of the formed sludge and continuous regeneration of the pores of the filter partition. An algorithm is presented, and an example of numerical calculation of the hydrocyclone process of “light” fractions of the dispersed phase with additional purification on the drain-pipe filtering surface is given in comparison with a typical apparatus.
