Graphitic carbon nitrides bonded with nickel can induce mild aerobic oxidative coupling reactions. Amidation of aldehydes with amines was reported, as well as the cross-coupling of C−N, C−O, and C−C aryl halides with amines, alcohols, and carboxylic acid.
