Abstract

The magnetic induction inside a straight metal wire of a circular cross section is calculated. A general case is considered when the ratio of the electron mean free path to the wire radius can take arbitrary values. As the boundary conditions of the problem, a condition was taken that takes into account the dependence of the specularity coefficient on surface defects and the angle of incidence of electrons on the inner surface of the wire. The limiting case is considered and the results obtained are discussed.
