Sturgeons are fish commercially important for caviar production. They are endangered in the wild due to overfishing, river pollution, and human action. We have generated a high-quality > 74 K SNP panel from female and male Acipenser baerii using a high-depth RAD-seq approach. This SNP panel will facilitate many types of genetic studies, including high-resolution genomic analysis. This data can be used to develop strategies to conserve wild populations and improve aquaculture caviar production.
