Corrigendum: Rational Fabrication of Multiple Dimensional Assemblies from Tryptophan-Based Racemate

With this Corrigendum, the authors have corrected the following in their Full Paper:

1. SAED data images in Supporting Information Figure S5 have been removed post-publication. The molecule used here is a synthetically new substance, thus the data for single crystal X-ray measurements reported in this manuscript had not previously been deposited in the requisite database. We chose some corresponding pdf cards to normalize the lattice parameters, which may have caused some errors. In addition, one can see from the XRD results that amorphous structures were also present within the hierarchy. The diffraction spots in the SAED data correspond specifically to the interplanar spacing of the assemblies, however, not correctly to certain lattice parameters. Thus, it was decided it was best to remove these from the final version to avoid any confusion.

2. The HRTEM images clearly showed the interplanar spacing of the assemblies, demonstrating their crystalline structures. However, the HRTEM images displayed in the previous inset of Figure S5 were not matched very well with the SAED patterns. They belong to the same area, though with a certain deviation. For the sake of rigor, only the lattice spacings are now marked in Figure S5.

The corresponding revisions were thus made in the Version of Record:

1. In the section of “RPWM assembles in ethanol/H2O (1/9)”, seventh paragraph, the description given is “High-resolution TEM (HRTEM) and select area electron diffraction (SAED) further confirmed the crystalline structure of RPWM assemblies (Figure S5a and c)” and should now be “High-resolution TEM (HRTEM) further confirmed the crystalline structure of RPWM assemblies (Figure S5a)”.

2. Also, In the section of “RPWM assemblies in ethanol/cyclohexane (1/9)”, second paragraph, the descriptions given are “Also, racemates in water (Figure 4k) and cyclohexane assembly exhibited similar XRD peaks, HRTEM and SAED images (Figure S5b and d)” and should be “Also, racemates in water and cyclohexane assembly exhibited similar XRD peaks (Figure 4k)”.

3. The blue square in Figure 4b had been incorrectly placed slightly too far to the left and for consistency, in was moved to the corrected position.
