By virtue of methylenecyclopropanes as versatile reagents, the chemoselective C3−H alkylation, C2−H dienylation and cyclopropylation of indoles have been realized through TFA-prompted/Rh(III)-catalyzed transformations. Sequential two-fold C−H functionalization and diversified derivatizations further strengthened the synthetic utility of the developed protocol for the construction of high-functionalized indoles.
