In this review article, concise research approach behind the proton conductive lanthanide metal organic frameworks (LMOFs) with magnetic properties has been described. This article comprises the brief discussion on design strategy to construct optimized structures for targeted properties (proton conduction and magnetism). Some intriguing examples of LMOFs exhibiting proton conductivity and magnetic properties is revisited. The unexplored exchange between proton migration and magnetism could broaden the gate for future research to design MOFs with spintronics applications.
