Abstract

This paper proposes a terminological approach to understanding the dynamics of the development of scientific topics based on the analysis of the joint use of key terms. The results of studying the dynamics of the occurrence of key terms in SciVal topics in the field of immunology and microbiology are presented, which is the basis for the development of an algorithm for the distribution of SciVal topics by category: actively developing topics; topics that are in a stable state; losing relevance, or fading topics. The results of studying the dynamics of using common key terms in related topics are presented on the basis of information about related publications, namely, by the largest number of common article references. The dynamics of key terms is shown on the example of the topic SciVal T. 455 Intestinal Flora/Ruminococcaceae/Dysbiosis. It was found that the dynamics of the use of certain key terms decreased in the basic topic and shifted to related topics. Based on the general use of key terms and the presence of common references, a method based on SciVal topics is presented, which allows the most relevant classification of document arrays by subject categories at the publication level.
