A theoretical investigation on twice consecutive 1,3-methoxy rearrangements of 2-methyl-N-methoxyaniline catalyzed by NHC−Ag(I)/Au(I) catalysis is presented and a double-ortho- and multi-substituted aniline is predicted as major product.
