Nanocrystallite assembled La2CoNiO6 nanorods fabricated by facile solvothermal route for electrochemical performance

The present work unveils the facile solvothermal synthesis of nanocrystallite assembled La2CoNiO6 nanorods via calcination process. The Rietveld refinement confirmed the formation of monoclinic phase with P21/n symmetry. The stable porous nanorods of La2CoNiO6 with naturally self-assembled nanocrystallite aggregates are observed via high-resolution transmission electron micrographs. The specific surface area of ~ 32 m2/g has been achieved via Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analysis with average pore size of diameter ~ 5 nm via Barrett-Joyner-Halenda analysis. The nanocrystallite assembled La2CoNiO6 nanorods exhibited specific capacitance as 635.5 F/g at current density of 1 A/g, with retention of ~ 75% after 5000 cycles at constant high current density of 5 A/g via solvothermal approach followed by calcination.
