Waste to value: This review showcases the synthesis strategies, characterization methods, structure-activity relationship, and catalytic CO2 reduction to high value-added chemicals using single-atom catalysts (SACs) in detail. Insights into the design of high-efficiency and high-stability SACs for CO2 valorization are described. The superior performance of SACs renders them promising candidates for catalytic upgrading of waste and renewable sources.
