Biomass photoconversion: This review summarizes recent developments of wet- and dry-photoreforming of biomass-derived compounds and biogas, focusing on the design of supported nano-photocatalysts, hydrogen production rates, and reaction mechanisms for various feedstocks. Photogenerated hydrogen yield may be enhanced by the bandgap modulation, metal/semiconductor heterostructure formation, and surface plasmon resonance effect.
