Observer-Based Fuzzy Event-Triggered Control for Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Systems

This paper studies the fuzzy output feedback event-triggered control design method for the uncertain nonlinear systems with the unavailable states. First, an interval type-2 Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy system is utilized to model the nonlinear system, on which a fuzzy state observer is designed to estimate the unmeasured states. Second, via using the estimated states, a event-triggered mechanism is given, and a fuzzy output feedback event-triggered control approach is developed based on the parallel distributed compensation algorithm. Third, by employing Lyapunov theory, a sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the asymptotic stabilization of the closed-loop system, and the control gain and observer gain matrices are obtained via linear matrix inequalities approach. Finally, a numerical example and a practical example are provided to verify the feasibility and efficiency of the developed control scheme.
