Recent Technological Advancement in Surrounding Gate MOSFET for Biosensing Applications - a Synoptic Study

Advancement in the technology and device engineering has a huge impact on the evolution of biosensors and their designing principles. Various biosensors have been designed and reported depending upon the application it will be serving. Different biosensors have played an important role in vital applications in multifarious fields such as medical field, food industry, ecological monitoring and so on. The synoptic review chronicles the basic concepts, working principle, and structure of biosensors the surrounding gate MOSFET based biosensors. This paper presents a brief synoptic review about the generalization of the Surrounding Gate MOSFET based biosensors and their recent technological advancements. The recent advancements done in the device structure and material of the surrounding gate MOSFET based biosensors to improve sensitivity and to serve different sensing applications has been discussed in detail.
