Continuous wavelet transforms and ultra performance liquid chromatography applied to the simultaneous quantitative determination of candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide in tablets

The continuous wavelet transforms and ultra performance liquid chromatography methods were developed for the simultaneous determination of candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide in tablets. The continuous wavelet transforms methods were applied to the UV spectra and the ratio spectra of the candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide. Based on the use of the Symlets 2 and Reverse Biorthogonal 2.2 spectra, the calibration equations were obtained by measuring the continuous wavelet transforms amplitudes at 242.8 and 239.8 nm for the candesartan cilexetil determination and at 274.7 and 271.4 nm for the hydrochlorothiazide determination, respectively. For a comparison, ultra performance liquid chromatography method was developed for the analysis of the candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide mixtures. The validity and applicability of the continuous wavelet transforms and ultra performance liquid chromatography methods was performed using the recovery study, standard addition technique and intra-day and inter-day tests.
