The Guest Editors of the ‘Right-wing populism and education: Interrogating politics, policy and pedagogic resistance’ special section published in the April 2021 issue would like to point out that education is a devolved responsibility for each of the four UK nations; and that there are important differences in politics and education policy among England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. References to UK or British education and politics in this special section should, therefore, be understood with this in mind. On p. 258 of Hussain and Yunus (2021), ‘UK GCSE’ is mentioned and they would like to clarify that the GCSE is not taken in Scotland.
