In this paper we study the Hénon type equation $-\Delta u+a\left(x\right)u={\left|x\right|}^{\alpha }{u}^{p_{\alpha }-ϵ}\text{in}{\mathbb{R}}^N,$ where $p_{\alpha }=\frac{N+2+2\alpha }{N-2}$, $\alpha >0$, $ϵ>0$, $N\ge 7$. We construct, for $ϵ$ small enough, a family of positive solutions concentrating at the origin under certain conditions on the potential $a\left(x\right)$.
