Welcome to the special section on the 2021 IEEE International Symposium on Integrated Circuits and Systems (ISICAS 2021). The ISICAS symposium is held in Singapore on Sept. 2–4, 2021 in a hybrid in-person/virtual format. The symposium does not provide proceedings; instead, all the accepted papers are reviewed, selected, and published concurrently in four special sections of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems – I (TCAS-I), of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems – II (TCAS-II), of the IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (TBioCAS), and of the IEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems (OJCAS) with the same diligence and the same review process of regular manuscript submissions.
