Magneto-conductance in magnetic bilayers of the form ferromagnetic metal (FM)/monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) is investigated in the linear response regime. It is assumed that spin–orbit proximity (SOP) effect in FM monolayers is created by the adjacent monolayer TMD. The transmission function is calculated from the Landauer formula in terms of non-equilibrium Green’s function formalism. It is presented here how the magneto-conductance (magneto-resistance) can be tuned in the presence of SOP for FM/TMD bilayers.
