Estimation of the Tribotechnical Efficiency of Polytetrafluoroethylene Filling

Abstract

To predict the wear resistance of polymer composite materials with a spatial structure of the filler, a criterion for the tribotechnical filling efficiency is proposed. The mathematical expression that determines the value of this criterion contains the ratio of the friction coefficients of the pure polymer and its composite. Experimental studies of the wear resistance of the F4K20 composite and the material of its matrix, polytetrafluoroethylene, are carried out. The applicability of the criterion proposed is confirmed by comparing the experimental data obtained with the data published by other authors.
