Drilling vibrations diagnostic through drilling data analyses and visualization in real time application

The visualization systems are proved particularly useful in representing dynamic data and greatly enhance the ability to analyze drilling complexities such severe vibrations during drilling operation which have always been a challenge for the drilling industry as it is considered as the most significant factors limiting the rate of penetration. The current research is directed towards the visualization of drilling data in real time application for vibrations diagnostic and detection using surface parameters measurement while drilling and implemented real time drilling predictive models of drill string dynamics and mechanical specific energy. Several cases have been studied in Algerian exploration well in order to investigate torsional and axial vibrations mechanism, Stuck pipe, parametric variations, drilling data visualization method’s efficiency and mitigation methods. Therefore, the identification and the detection of the drilling vibration are feasible, and an early manual intervention allows vibration mitigation.
