would have in some respects supported, and in others quite possibly frustrated, the argument here advanced, but either way, they would certainly have enriched it. I expect that The City of the Good will be the hub of a great many conversations about religion, nature and the good, and that will be to all of our betterment. I also expect that some of those discussions will turn on those places where the wheel is being reinvented; some will undoubtedly conclude that the wheel would be better able to carry the weight it needs to bear with a few additional spokes in place.
