The legal and intellectual aspects and the biographies thus oversize the historical narrative, which in some cases is not completely continuous. Though without providing definitive answers to the relation between Jewish identity and legal internationalism, with its ambitious perspective, this book has to be welcomed by historians as well as by jurists and scholars of international law, representing for all of them a priceless source of inspiration for further research in such an important field.
