Sustainable mobility is crucial for achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals. The features of sustainable mobility are both societal and technical (see Figure 1). Transport electrification plays a key role in achieving green and efficient mobility. IEEE acted swiftly on this point and established in 2011 a Transport Electrification (TE) community that is vibrant and aims at being the “one voice” for Transportation Electrification external to IEEE. The IEEE Electrification Magazine (CiteScore 6.7) was launched in 2013, and the Transactions on Transport Electrification was launched in 2015 (impact factor = 5.444).
