High Power Density Laser Diode Arrays for Solid State Laser Pump in a Wide Temperature Range

Abstract

The main parameters of SLM-3 laser diode arrays (Inject, Russia) are studied with varying temperature from –50 to +70°C. The absorption efficiency of laser diode array (LDA) radiation in the Nd3+:YAG laser crystal is theoretically evaluated in this temperature range. It is found that an increase in the LDA emission spectrum to 10 nm will provide efficient pumping of Nd3+:YAG lasers in a wide temperature range without thermal LDA stabilization.
